The personality of this wine of white grapes is nourished by the simplicity and freshness of the farm and its natural context, but at the same time by the strengthand vibrancy of its brand. Linked to the identity of the alluvial soils of Valle de Uco, Fosil is something inert, ancient, something to explore or rediscover, which represents what was life years ago.

Sensory features: Few Argentinean Chardonnays have achieved this level of quality, so despite the high price, Fosil is special. This comes from a spot with the highest elevation in Mendoza: San Pablo in the Uco Valley. This smells of spiced apple and butterscotch, while a high-energy palate comes straight from the terroir. Lightly buttery baked apple and peach flavors are pure and steady on a firm, balanced finish.

Vineyards and Soil: grown on alluvial soils with a sandy-clay layer and an ancient rugged backdrop of the Cordillera mountain range that inspire its name. Altitude 1,400 metres above sea level.

Ageing: Aged in a combination of egg-shaped concrete vats.
