Greco is an ancient, light-skinned grape variety thought to have originated in Greece as the name suggest. Grown throughout southern Italy but the best expression of this variety comes from Tufo, a small village 50 kilometres inland from Napoli which gives the name to this remarkable DOCG.
Sensory features: Greco di Tufo’s rich minerality and lifted bouquet is thanks to the unique sulphur and tufa rich volcanic clay soils that give refreshing, crisp white wines with aromatic notes of lemons, pears and toasted almonds on a lingering mineral finish..
Technical Notes:
Grape variety: 100% Greco.
Best served: Works in a glass by itself but thrives with food: fish dishes, white meats, poultry.
Serving temperature: 10 - 12 °C
