Brigaldara Valpolicella, a red wine made fromCorvina, Corvinone and Rondinellagrapes planted in 1970 and 1980 at an altitude of 450 metres. They are cultivated using environmentally-friendly agriculture and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness. The grapes are selected in the vineyard, packed in 200 kg boxes and transported directly to the winery. Once the grapes are destemmed and pressed, fermentation begins at a constant temperature, always in contact with the grape skins, with daily pumping over. The wine then ages in stainless steel tanks for 6 months.
Unlike the typical robust wines of theDOC Valpolicella, Brigaldara Valpolicellais an elegant, well-structured wine that stands out for the fruit flavours that emanate from this lovely, remote estate.
